Wilderness Experience with Glass Roof Sleigh

In our glass roof sleigh you have a chance to enjoy comfortably the arctic nature safe from wind and freezing temperatures. We start the sleigh ride from our property. After crossing some mires and small lakes we drive first through pine forest zone and then through mountain birch zone towards the highlands of the wilderness area Muotkatunturi.

On our way up we make stops to see the tracks of wild animals of this region. Elks, hares, otters and willow grouses commonly forage on this area and with good luck they can even to be seen. Wolverines are also around and we can observe their large footprints occasionally. However, you must be very lucky to see this extremely shy big predator!

Up on highland area we enjoy open fire coffee/tea and local snacks in the middle of the vastness of the wilderness area. After the snack we drive back to our property still observing landscape and possible signs of wildlife.

Please note

Although our sleigh is heated, please get dressed by weather and wear warm shoes.

The route we drive with sleigh can be slightly bumpy, so we drive at slow pace. The sleigh has padded seats and safety belts. However, if you are pregnant or have e.g. back or hip problems, we recommend consulting your physician about your ability to participate in the activity.

The route may vary depending on the weather and snow conditions.

Children must be accompanied by a parent.

The guiding languages are English and Finnish.
